After health authorities announced that increasing of Covid-19 cases would fall down the country’s health system, the Philippines resumed lockdown. Exactly this decision caused Philippine airlines to suspend domestic flights from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport until 18 August.
However, Philippine airlines continue to operate on other domestic flights. For example, the flights to and from Clark, Cebu, and Davao are still operational. Furthermore, the airline didn’t suspend international flights from Manila airport.
“The airline intends to resume international operations after its negative Q1 2020 results. It reported losses of US$183.1m because of pandemic hit”.
According to Philippine Airlines, passengers who have the tickets on suspended flights, can rebook, request a refund, or convert ticket into a travel voucher.
