If you need to park your car for a few hours and just need to pick-up or drop-off the passengers, Cairns Airport short-term parking is the best option. For a short-term car park, it’s better to pay by cash or credit card on-site. If you pay online in advance, you’ll have to pay for a full 24 hours period, which will cost you more.

Cairns Airport long-term parking has three options: T1 Long-Term Car Park, T2 Long-Term Car Park, and Premium Covered Car Park. These parking facilities provide both open-air and covered parking. In case you know your travel dates in advance, you’ve better to book online, because it offers reduced rates.

Cairns Airport to City

There is no public transport from Cairns Airport directly to the city centre. If you don’t have heavy baggage, you can take a shuttle from the airport to Palm Cove, then you should walk to Williams Esplanade at Caryota Street and then the bus 110 to Cairns City Bus Station. This is the only option to get from the airport to the city centre with public transport.
