Renovation at T2 Domestic Terminal has accomplished at Cairns Airport after 18 months. The upgraded terminal offers considerable improvements and provides passengers with a great airport experience.

The upgraded terminal swanks great innovations like enlarged seating areas, new interactive play screen for children, renewed Parenting Room. There is also a new Quiet Room for passengers with hidden disabilities. The environment of T2 at Cairns Airport is significantly more comfortable and innovative.

Cairns Airport’s Chief Executive Officer, Norris Carter, said: “When we commenced this project, we set ambitious targets to leave a positive and lasting legacy for Far North Queensland and to provide a first-class airport experience. The T2 Domestic Terminal upgrade recognizes our underlying optimism in the future of this region and Cairns Airport’s commitment to continue to drive connectivity to the Far North.”

The renovation of T2 Terminal marks $55 million of funding in just over two years. North Queensland Airport and retail partners funded the project fully.
