To get to the city from Melbourne Airport, you’ll have to choose between a taxi or bus due to your budget and preferences. If you prefer a taxi, you should find it on the ground level outside of each terminal. It takes approximately 35 minutes to get to the city by taxi and you’ll have to pay about AUD$55-65.

The cheaper option to ger from Melbourne Airport to the city is the Skybus. Although It goes directly to MBC in 30-40 minutes like a taxi, it costs AUD$19.70 for one. However, it’s not as comfortable as a taxi. You can buy a Melbourne City Express ticket for Skybus online or also on the ground level of Terminals 1,3 and 4 from red-colored ticket booth.
